Mobile Phone
Approximatly 75% of the UK population own a mobile phone
and I have no doubt that that the United States is in a similar
situation. Fate there is a fatal flaw for civil liberties.
The Theory
Whenever you make a call or answer a call on your mobile phone,
thanks to radio transmissions and satellite information your
location can be pin pointed to a few feet. And the authorities
just ignore this?
The Evidence
- In Russia vs. Checknea (sorry for the spelling ;), the
Chetchnian leader as taken out when the Cremelin learned
his location due to him using his mobile phone
- DIY spying is now freely available from services - Google
brings up many sponsered results
